Our Story

How it all began

“I’m no Abraham, but I entertained an angel.”

Mercy walked into my apartment that day to catch up with an old school mate, and I had one simple assignment — be polite to our guest. I planned to be nice for a few minutes and retreat back into my usual busy rhythm. But then she smiled, and my plan didn’t stand a chance.

She was gentle but confident, warm but full of fire — and when she started talking about her passions, I found myself leaning in, wanting to hear more, wanting to give more of the time I thought I couldn’t afford, forgetting the clock completely.

Those “few minutes” ended up lasting far longer than I intended — long enough for me to realise I wanted to see her again. And over the next little while, every time our paths crossed, that spark grew a bit brighter. Eventually, we went on our first date — a whole day of talking, laughing, discovering new reasons to stay a little longer. By the time the sun went down, I knew I hadn’t just entertained a guest. I had met the woman who would change my life.

That unexpected visit became the beginning of our story — a spark that grew into friendship, love, partnership and now a lifetime. And every day since, I’m reminded that angels don’t always announce themselves with fireworks and trumpets. Sometimes they just walk into your living room, smile, and transform your life.
